My favorite memories are of those times spent crafting. With my Grandmother on her patio, my Mother and Sisters in the craft room every Saturday, the dining room table with my sons during the holidays and the laugh fests my sister and I still sneak in whenever life lets us now days.
There are days I can not remember my name, but I always remember the times spent creating something. I know nothing I make is perfect and there are times I deliberately make something imperfect. I remember the feeling I get when a project pops into my head and joy I feel when it turns out so much better than I expected. Making something out of nothing is one of the best feelings around.
Crafting is my “Happy Place”. It keeps my mind and body busy and my soul happy. What’s not to love?
I am not making a mess, I am Crafting a Memory!

Lately I have been obsessed with learning to make wooden signs. I have made at least one a day, trying to learn all the little tips and tricks that practice could teach me. I have a garage full of scrap wood, so I have the luxury of being[…]
I am a very down home person and I prefer the rustic homemade look. I like wood grain and distressed paint. If it was up to me, my whole house would be furnished and decorated in recycled wood. I have been known to sand paint off cabinets and[…]
Today’s Cricut project/lesson for me is something I had seen a long time ago and wanted to do as soon as I saw it. It is actually 2 new lessons for me. Making a negative from a photo and putting vinyl on a canvas. To be honest, it[…]
